Joseph Carpenter Tracy and Lavilla Mariah Tracy are my great great great grandparents, but they are more than that. When I was 17 I was looking thru my Grandmothers family Bible and their names & children's names written on a scrap of paper fell out and that started a 35 year search for my ancestors. I have gone to many interesting places to research this family; Mesopotamia, Trumbull Co., Ohio, Warren, Trumbull Co., Ohio, Preston, New London Co., Connecticut, Scipioville, Cayuga Co., NY and Stanway, Glouchestershire, England. I have visited many fine libraries in the real world and on the web, met many relatives in person, thru letters and e-mails. So I started my Tracy Genealogy blog with them. There is still more to learn!
