Stanway Manor Stanway, Glouchestershire, England

Inside the courtyard of Stanway Manor. You can see part of the Gatehouse built ca. 1630 by Timothy Strong of Barrington.
You can see the beautiful amber paned window of the Great Hall. The house is currently occupied by Lord Neidpath son of David Charteris, 12th Earl of Wemyss.

We just discovered today that my husband is descended from Lt. Thomas Tracy, through his son Jonathan. While we have yet to verify all the connections, we stare at this manor in awe. Both of us have families that without fail go back to early colonial era, but we have not been very successful making the leap across the ocean. Congratulations!
